Where has the year gone?

Here it is August again and here I am writing in this journal. (Memo to self: this must become a more frequent activity. Weekly might be better than yearly.)

I have begun to post some of the new pieces I've been painting and will very shortly post information about this year's show.

This painting hopefully captures all the pride and love a new father feels for his daughter.

Trip to Opus Today

This morning, one of my stops was at Opus in Langley. There are a number of acrylic pieces almost completed and ready for framing so I had to get more frames. I took all they had and ordered more but don't worry, everything will be here before the show.

Speaking of the show, wouldn't it be great if the full moon illuminating the garden these past few evenings returns for for the Art Show.

New Tea House

It has been a week busy with gardening and painting. There are many more almost completed pieces to add to the site and many more in various stages of development.

During the week, several people who have looked at the site called and asked to drop by and see some of the works - both completed and in progress. Some of them liked what they saw and so a few pieces will appear 'sold' as soon as they are posted.

Some of the painting I have done in my studio but I have also been working in the new tea house in the garden or garden house where I can take tea.

Many thanks to my friends Shelley and Bob who are responsible for the transition from old chicken coop/shed to wonderful, bright and welcoming garden house.

The photo shows the new incarnation and you will have a chance to see it yourselves when you visit, before, during or following the show.
